Location: Truckee, California Phase II: Scheduled for 2018
Neighbors have long referred to this property as the, "acid casualty house", or the, "Bavarian train wreck”. Phase I included the complete renovation and reconfiguration of the interior while the exterior improvements patiently wait for phase II. Phase I reorganized the poorly conceived interior layout of the second floor to create a unified kitchen, living, and dining area. The lower level was also reconfigured to simplify circulation from a central atrium entry area to the peripheral sleeping quarters. Phase II will create a clearly defined point of entry from the street while updating exterior finishes better suited for the harsh winter environment.
