University High School Library
Location: San Francisco, CA Completed: 2005
The complete renovation and reconfiguration of an obsolete facility challenges the conventions of a traditional library program by providing a variety of student study areas. The new design incorporates lounge areas, carrels, work tables, and collaboration rooms to address the changing needs of a modern tech intensive high school curriculum.
